Not strictly a rock band, Chicago would combine elements from other styles and genres in their music, from classical to jazz, R&B to pop. This has most likely hurt their reputation as a rock band, but has not diminished their success one bit. Chicago is one of the most successful American bands of all time, ranking up there alongside the Beach Boys
